Promotions are undoubtedly one of the most successful revenue generating marketing features of Hotel Manager. With this feature you have the possibility to apply a discount to your regular daily rates if certain conditions set by you are met. These include discounts for early booking, last minute, long stays, free children and free nights.
More than 60 percent of our customers currently have at least one active promotion. The most popular option among our hoteliers is the standard discount, followed by the length-of-stay discount and finally free nights. A recent analysis of booking trends among our customers shows that the early booking discount is very popular among guests: About 25 percent of all bookings that include a promotion include an early booking discount. For this reason, it is absolutely essential that prices and availability are maintained well into the future so as not to lose any potential bookings.
One final, particularly interesting finding is the increase in revenue associated with creating promotions. We conducted a case study with one of our clients in Tyrol as part of our Business Analysis service and observed the sales trend both before and after the creation of promotions. The clear trend was both an increase in the number of bookings and an increase in the average booking value.
