"Networked Tourism" - seekda! connect in FaktumThe tourism magazine Faktum dedicates itself in its 10/2009 issue to the topic "Networked Tourism" - featuring the channel management and the future technologies of seekda! connect: "With seekda! connect, an innovative as well as user-friendly booking solution has recently been launched. With it, an unlimited numer of online distribution channels may be maintained. If room offers on the own Website, on booking portals or whole packages including accommodation and meals as well as 3rd hand party services - all those offers can now be brought to the guest with little effort ... With the "tagging" of platforms a great target is aimed at: the linkage of many services. For achieving this goal, seekda has developed a crawler which tracks down Web Services. By linking it to the own booking software, a guest can in the future book many components at a stroke: e. g. holiday packages, travel insurances or theater tickets. A mobile service is to be developed additionally, which means, alternatives may be bookable via cellphone on site - "if it is raining and the guest ha booked trips for sunshine". Read more... soeldenweb.at goes for innovative e-Tourism Software seekda! connect"The landlords have realized that e-Tourism is the future", says Internet and Marketing expert Karl Zeller, who has been accompanying the project since the launch of the website www.soeldenweb.at in 2005. Ten lodging establishments - among them the four star hotels "Alphof" and "Bergland" - are sharing the booking platform. A group, which is according to Zeller "open for new developments". Thus, soeldenweb.at was fond of the innovative booking possibilities provided by seekda! connect - and has now gone for the solution from the Innsbruck based IT company seekda. soeldenweb.at will enter into the winter season with the booking solution seekda! connect. Der Standard comments on seekdaIn its 10/28/2009, the daily newspaper Der Standard reports on the application of innovative research results from the University of Innsbruck in seekda: "Semantic Web programs will be able to operate travel planning all by themselves. First, the user feeds the computer a certain minimum information like destination, date and duration of the journey.
